As very clear from the name that this project is used in place of traditional attendance register of school's classrooms. Each student of the class is given an RFID tag which looks like an ATM card and has a chip that stores the ID of that specific student. When entering the classroom, each student just touches the card to the reader which is installed at the door of the room. The reader reads the data present on the card, which is a simple numerical value assosiated with the student. This reader system is connected with a local server (a PC) over a WiFi (wireless) connection. The server has a database which stores which students where present on each day. Thus it is very easy to view various types of report on the PC like a daily report which shows which students were present or absent on specific dates. Or the attendance percentage of each stutents.
